  • Peter De Wilde

    President, ETC

    Peter De Wilde has been CEO of the Tourist Office for Flanders since 2009 and President of ETC since January 2014. He has a PhD in Arts, Romance Language and Literature and has been professor at the University of Antwerp (Belgium).

  • Pedro Ortún

    Director, EC Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry

    Mr. Ortún has been Director in the European Commission since 1988, in charge of different industrial and services sectors. In January 2000, he became responsible for Tourism and Service Industries, as well as for Corporate Social Responsibility within DG Enterprise and Industry.

  • John Kester

    Programme Manager Tourism Trends and Marketing Strategies , UNWTO

    John Kester started his career in the UNWTO Secretariat in 1997. He supervises the activities with regard to short-term and long-term trends in tourism and forecasting, marketing and promotional techniques, and competiveness as formulated in the General Programme of Work of UNWTO.

  • Michel De Blust

    Secretary General, ECTAA

    In the end of 1989, he joined ECTAA as permanent Secretary General. Over the years, he managed the growth of the Association from a 12 Members’ Associations in 1989 to 31 Members in 2013. He has also been a member of the Steering group of the Tourism Intergroup of the European Parliament. Since 2008, he is a member of the Tourism Sustainability Group (TSG) set up by DG Enterprise.

  • Hans Dominicus

    Director, CELTH

    Hans Dominicus is recently appointed as director of the Centre of Expertise Leisure, Tourism & Hospitality. This centre focusses on applied research and market intelligence projects in close cooperation with three universities in the Netherlands and the industry.

  • Marco Ferraz

    President

    Mr. Marco Ferraz became President of BRAZTOA (Brazilian Tour Operators Association) in May 2011 and is also the director of Monark Tourism. Heading up the Brazilian Tour Operators Association, with 97 members, Mr. Ferraz is focused on promoting actions and partnerships that add value to the business activities of BRAZTOA’s members and is well known for the number of projects that he has implemented in his role as a President.

  • Tom Jenkins

    Executive Director, ETOA

    Mr. Thomas Jenkins is the Executive Director of the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA). The ETOA was created as a representative for European inbound tour operators.
    Mr. Jenkins has also advocated more tourist access to historic cities, initiated a Europe-wide coach safety code, and for lead a campaign that successfully blocked changes to the EU VAT.

  • Duncan Alexander

    Director, PATA West Asia

    Duncan has over 20 years’ experience in the travel sector having worked in senior management positions at mercator, the commercial arm of Emirates Group IT, Official Airline Guides (OAG), SITA and Galileo now Travelport. He has also worked as an aviation consultant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Logica.

  • Robert Cleverdon

    Director, TDI

    Mr. Robert Cleverdon was appointed Director - International Projects in September 2008. He has worked for four decades as an educator in the fields of travel, tourism and leisure consultant.
    He has published extensively on tourism market trends and forecasting both through the UNWTO – he is the author of the Tourism 2020 Vision series of reports published in 1999/2000 – and other organisations such as the Economist Intelligence Unit and Mintel.

  • Greg Richards

    President, IGCAT

    He is a European Executive Member of the Association for Tourism and Leisure Education (ATLAS) and has directed a number of ATLAS projects for the European Commission on topics including cultural tourism, crafts tourism, sustainable tourism, tourism education and labour mobility in the tourism industry. His major publications include Cultural Tourism in Europe (1996), Cultural Attractions and European Tourism (2001), Tourism and Gastronomy (2002) Tourism, Creativity and Development (2007) and Eventful Cities (2010). He has recently been appointed President of the International Institute for Gastronomy, Culture, Arts and Tourism (IGCAT) and is one of the team developing the European Region of Gastronomy initiative.
